Team Waterwise won IoT prize with Thinxtra Xkit at Waterhack18

100+ hackers, 50 hours, one weekend and Australia’s very first water hackathon is complete!

WaterHack18 is the first of its kind – a hackathon focused solely on the Australian water industry. Bright minds including developers, designers, engineers, scientists and everyone in between will be inspired over one weekend to solve water industry challenges. To help hackers on their journey, they’ll have access to Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology, Thinxtra Xkit devkit and receive mentoring from industry experts and members of the Brisbane start-up community.

The Thinxtra Xkit for developers boasts a full suite of features and accessories to empower anyone to set up an IoT solution using the globally available Sigfox LPWAN. The Xkit integrates an: Accelerometer 3-axis, digital temperature and pressure sensor, reed switch, light sensor, LEDs red & blue and a push button.
