Sales Development Representative (SDR) ANZ

This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Sydney or Auckland, allowing you to join the fastest growing IoT Solutions provider in ANZ and work on impactful projects that connect the physical and digital worlds.

About the role

We’re in search of a Sales Development Representative who wastes no time and can contribute to Thinxtra’s next big growth phase. In this role, you’ll be building and managing a pipeline from outbound activities, digital, calls and Face 2 Face meetings by generating leads in Australia and New Zealand.

You’ll understand your territory inside out, focus on value-based selling, and keep things on track with accurate forecasting and clean pipeline management. It’s a fast-paced, high-impact role where your hustle and skills will make a real difference. Domain expertise within Facility Management and Utilities is desirable.

  • Generate highly qualified opportunities for business development through effective discovery during phone meetings
  • Follow up and nurture leads in your pipeline to maximise conversions
  • Research potential customers and uncover new leads via channels like social media, email marketing, and cold calling
  • Demonstrate team values, maintain a positive outlook, and actively seek feedback
  • Contribute to a strong team culture by participating in discussions and team meetings
  • Initiating contact with potential customers through inbound inquiries to source new sales opportunities
  • Conducting discovery calls to effectively understand customer needs and requirements
  • Routing promising opportunities to the appropriate Business Development Rep for further development and closure
  • Conducting thorough account research, identifying key decision-makers, and generating interest in our offerings
  • Maintaining and growing your prospect database within your assigned segment
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, SDR, or business development, with success in hitting targets
  • A hunter mentality with a curiosity about finding and cultivating new business opportunities
  • Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills, especially over the phone
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and dedicated to achieving results, with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Analytical problem solver specialising in solution-based sales strategies and effective management of a high-volume sales pipeline
  • Experience in positioning tech solutions and building cross-functional relationships is a bonus
  • Ability to engage at all levels within a customer or partner organisation.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
