New South Wales
COFFS HARBOUR
Coffs Harbour was one of the first regional councils in Australia that got a free and complete city-wide Sigfox coverage for the Internet of Things. This deployment was successfully conducted in collaboration with Schneider Electric who, together with Thinxtra, are bringing IoT solutions to the region.
Victoria
Brimbank
Brimbank City Council’s first project was about ensuring that street litter bins were attended to at precisely the right time and avoid over servicing or under-servicing. To monitor bins, Brimbank was supported by Thinxtra to fast track IoT solutions towards more efficiencies via the Smart Council Program.
Western Australia
Mandurah
The City of Mandurah’s first project includes Sigfox ready dataloggers retrofitted via reed switch to the water meters, the data is sent via newly-installed Sigfox IoT network to the WaterGroup platform (Envisi) to be able to alert staff if water leaks are detected or if deviations in normal water consumption occur.
Queensland
Moreton Bay
Moreton Bay was the first council to trial AbiBird -Sigfox ready- IoT solution with their population of elderly people leaving at home. AbiBird was invented in Australia to support people who want to retain their independence as they age. It contains technology that understands and tracks ‘normal’ day and night activity within a home and send alerts in time.
