Oracle Integration with Sigfox Back-end, made with Thinxtra support
Oracle is a multinational corporation, providing services in IoT, mainly supporting many great SaaS applications. Oracle IoT Cloud Services has now integrated with the Sigfox back-end. Thinxtra demonstrated GPS trackers sending location data directly to the Oracle IoT cloud at the Oracle Code event in Sydney last month.
New LPWAN Module from Murata will Support LoRaWAN and Sigfox
Murata is the first major vendor to offer a LPWAN module that supports both LoRaWAN and Sigfox. Murata’s collaboration with STM and Sigfox could potentially help to achieve a leading position in the LPWAN market while giving customers greater solution longevity and flexibility, when released late 2017…
Innovative Learning at NZ School
Kauri Flats School, based in South Auckland, established a new Innovative Learning Space, leading projects that involve developing technological solutions to common problems. One project used Motiv devices with Sigfox connectivity provided by Thinxtra to help locate and track spill kits on large construction sites.
Co-creating the Future of Foods in Australia
A symposium series organised by the Monash Food & Agriculture Initiative will take place on August 10th in Melbourne. Anat Efron from Thinxtra will be a speaker at this event, presenting on how IoT LPWAN (and Sigfox in particular) can benefit smarter agriculture, and better cold chain monitoring to reduce waste and support food safety, from farm to fork.
About Thinxtra
Thinxtra is empowering the Internet of Things (IoT) in Asia Pacific by deploying Sigfox technology, the world-leading provider of connectivity for the IoT, as well as building a full eco-system of partners providing IoT solutions and services to enable the non-connected to connect, to increase productivity, accelerate decision making, improve quality of service and quality of life, and find more economical solutions to common problems.
Sigfox is a global network designed to connect billions of devices to the Internet while consuming as little energy as possible, as simply as possible. Sigfox’ unique approach to device-to-cloud communications addresses the three greatest barriers to global IoT adoption: cost, energy consumption, and global scalability.
Thinxtra was founded by IoT and network experts who share a common passion for connecting things. It is backed by NZX-listed high-tech company Rakon Limited, which has a history of innovation in communications technology going back some 50 years.
