Secure2Go, in partnership with Thinxtra, are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of their first in a series of SECUREfarm devices which will help Agronomists and Farmers in Smart Agriculture
The SECUREfarm S75 device integrates with existing Smart Farming software and sensors and can provide daily data on soil, weather and other environmental monitoring as well as GPS location of the device.
The device is a waterproof data communicator, that lasts for a year on 2x AA batteries. It connects via the low cost Sigfox network operated by Thinxtra. Sigfox is a global wireless Internet of Things (IoT) network which is long range (up to 50km) and low power consumption, and connects SigfoxReady devices to the Cloud.
Smart Farming has revolutionised Australian agriculture early on with machine to machine technologies. Now the Internet of Things is redefining the industry to wirelessly connect many more devices to the Internet. Connectivity in rural areas is a real challenge, and Sigfox makes it affordable and simple to set up. If your area is not already covered by the network, inquire at thinxtra.com/ineedsigfox. The new Sigfox technology has already begun to radically boost the productivity and efficiency of Australian farms.
“Having grown up on a farm in Western Australia, I am very excited to be working alongside Thinxtra to give back to primary industry using our technology.” said Wes Lawrence, CEO of Secure2Go.
